Rebecca

Everyone has been saying I could write a book. I think that instead of the updates every 6 months, I'll just make some notes here, and you can check back for your own updates :)

Weekend Fun

Good gracious! What a weekend! We had so much fun walking thru a neighborhood garage sale while Lamar stayed home to put down the new sod in the backyard. We got tons of great bargains! After Rebecca's nap, we went on a bike ride, and played outside on the new trike we got at the yard sale!

On Sunday, we had a HUGE milestone on the potty-POOPIE!!! Not sure what was happening, she fussed, but she did it!! YAY!

Firestation

Today we took our first trip to the Firestation. I'm not sure Rebecca knew what to think-at first she would kind of approach the truck, the firefighters, then run back to me. She didnt want anything to do with it after awhile, but certainly liked the little cubbies where they slept (go figure!), and recognized right away the X-Box controllers in the entertainment and eating area! It was a great, knowledgeable trip (at least for me!) and worth a try to see if she might like it, but even the big, red, shiny truck wasnt enough to lure her inside to see everything. Maybe next year! Rebecca still got rewarded with a cool red firehat, and a coloring book-Thanks to Forsyth County!

Hello!

Well, my WCBF, Will, sent me this link-thanks, WILL!! I know that some people might be excited to see this and, I know, that I'm excited to get it started, since I know that I've really slacked off on Rebecca's journal writing, and I'm bummed.

Whats new? Well, PlaySchool (nursery school) started last week. She did absolutely terrific the first day, I kept her home the 2nd day (couldnt tell if the snot was from molars or from a possible cold) but today, she was not letting me go so easily! Thankfully, her teachers are terrific, and all her new friends saw her thru, and I got to go on knowing she was going to have a blast-she didnt know it yet.

Ok, the molars? Shame on all of you who have kids, and didnt tell me these were worse than the canine teeth coming in. OMG. There is just slobber EVERYWHERE!! Nose, mouth...dare I say where else? LOL! It amazes me how well she handles everything for the most part though.

Tomorrow, our friend, Sydney comes over to play, and we always have such a blast!
